Bandleader, Bernard Koener (1944-2015)
Prior to September 2015, the Double Shot Band was under the guidance of Bandleader, Saxophonist, Bernard Koener. Sadly Bernard passed away on 9/29/15. His talent and sense of humor will be missed; we know he would want us to continue. Bernard continued to perform until his last days. We played a gig in Tampa on 9/26/15, it was while loading his equipment at the end of the night that he fell and broke his hip, merely three days before leaving this earth.
